Renovation Queen: Cherie Barber

Any thoughts on this article?
A friend of mine paid for the seminar and said it was the best $5000 he has spent and forwarded me this article.

Makeover Queen Makes Good

Quote: In her first year, Barber renovated six houses with a combined value of $6.3 million for a profit of $1.15 million.

Overpriced.

Step 1. Get successful.
Step 2: Tell others how you did it and charge them like a raging bull.

The real renovation queen is Jane Slack Smith. Her courses are much cheaper and still great content.

In my opinion, it's overpriced for the average mum and dad investor. Who's got $5.5k to blow on education when you're just getting started on your first renovation?

Im not arguing about either specific price or content here related to the OPs question. Im not qualified to comment since I have not attended the course.

I am qualified to comment on Jane's stuff and it is excellent value for money

Away from the reno courses for a mo

My quip was more like around the concept of overpriced and perception of value.

I battle with this everyday in a couple of our businesses.

Im sure you dont drive a Proton S16 or a Chery J1, because hey they have four wheels and an engine, since anything of 13 k for a new car is " over priced"

Noooooooooo, we justify things differently to us when it becomes "personal"
