Received a notification of our annual land valuation on my IP I thought it was done every 3 years mind you. Anyway it has dropped by $25000.
Happy in one way but not in others.
Happy that the rates will be less of course, in saying that I'm sure the council will find another way to keep the rates the same.
I am also wondering if the new valuation had anything to do with a bit of uproar with all residential government owned properties in the same area valued last time at $40000 less than what other peoples were.
Disapointed in when I purchased my IP it was $60000 above existing land val and when new valuation came out revalued to $20000 above and now I'm back to $45000 above my inital purchase price.
I liked the idea my house in effect only cost me $20000.
Of course the fact it has dropped needs to be investigated in more detail I would rather see values going up.
Anyone else have property in the Logan area and had a valuation drop?
So are all our valuations going to be done annually?
Not losing sleep over it thats for sure.
