SD Cards

Just got back from a day out with the kids and half the photos we took on the camera have now magically vanished from the sd card. I now have a most displeased partner asking me questions like where are they gone

Any thing I can do to get them back or is it to late to recover them....

If you didn't delete them they should still be there.
Did you look with the camera or with a computer?
Sometimes are hidden in a separate folder.

Have another look.
If you still can't find them, take the camera battery out, remove the card and then reinsert it making sure it sits firmly and see if that makes any difference.

are you sure you actually took them?
as in, have you seen them after taking them?

i recently started having a problem with my DSLR where it behaves exactly as if the photo is taken, but doesn't actually take anything, which looks like a problem with a camera.

wonder if you are having the same thing.

Tried all of the above, with still no photos....

Yes they were taken, we had a look at them on the camera during the day and they were still there, but once we got home the first half off all the pic's where gone.

looks like might have to plan another day out an get the same pics

is your card currently full or does it still have some space left?

i wonder if your camera just started deleting earlier photos after it ran out of space

Can I suggest that you take your SD card down to the local photo developing store?

It costs about $10 to try and retrieve deleted photos and about another $20 to burn onto a DVD.

I had to do this for work recently but unfortunately it was one of 3 SD cards and I chose the wrong one.

Just remember that they might retrieve the photos of you and your significant other holding each other intimately.

photos even erased can be recovered
I used one a while ago not sure of the name now
just try one from google above

Was the free service any good? I've got another 2 SD cards to check. I might go this option if it's not too difficult to download and operate the system.
