Seen any great movies lately

I managed to catch Interstellar at the Carousel novelty IMAX screen. Confusion reigned as the opening credits to the Hobbit 3D scrolled up the screen! Once the movie started, it was ear shatteringly loud.

The movie was long but interesting in parts. Visually it was spectacular, particularly the parts filmed in IMAX which filled the IMAX screen. The story was interesting but I found some of the plot points incoherant and overall the script was not well refined. Overall, I found the internal logic of the movie to be really well resolved. I was impressed that for a movie weighing in at nearly 3 hours that I wasn't tempted to scream "boring" at the screen. A flawed masterpiece?

PreDestination is worth watching aussie flick with ethan Hawke
Gotta pay good attention!!
Really enjoyed it. I found the look of the film amazing and it sucked me in immediately. If you don't know anything about the film, it starts off quite slowly and builds off that. Certainly well worth a watch.

Watched two Soska Sisters movies recently.

American Mary - great!
See No Evil 2 - great!

They have a new movie coming out this year, which I'm keen as to see.

Might be worth catching See No Evil for a bit of background before watching SNE 2, but not necessary. If you're not too fussed, save yourself 90 minutes of your life and don't bother (the Soskas didn't direct the first one).

The Canal - good!

The Babadook - quite possibly the worst movie I have seen in a long, long time. It was absolutely the biggest letdown. No suspense, no gore, no thrills, no nothing. The ending was worse than the ending of Heat.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Shocking Truth - great documentary about the film, which also covers some of the sequels, but mostly focussed on the original - one the greatest movies ever made.

Interstellar is a great movie. Whilst it uses at some interesting physics (gravity induced time dilation, etc), the actual implementation is quite a way off as the gravity experienced wouldn't have anywhere near the time dilation effect. Still a cool movie.

I saw American Sniper last night, I'm also reading the book. Quite a good movie if you're into that sort of thing. The movie is more about his inner demons than the book would suggest. This is one instance where I'd say it's a good movie, but the book is way more interesting.

Went along TODAY and saw American-Sniper directed by Clint-Eastwood,for a mid-week film the placed was packed, and after the film finished a lot of people just sat there ,i would rate this film up there with Unforgiven and Gran-Torino..

Watched Amercian Sniper last week, I think it's a great movie enjoyed it. Partner isn't big on the action etc but still enjoyed it.

Saw the imitation game today

Absolutely excellent

If you have any interest in choose breaking youll love it even though it's not very technical

Birdman with michael keaton, loved it, if you like Woody Allen flicks you will like this.

Yes I loved it, Edward Norton is very good, the scene when he is in bed under the covers with Laura, on stage in front of the audience and he wants to get it on is one if the funniest things I have seen

Alejandro Gonzales is a very talented director and producer, amores perros and 21 grams are good films but quite heavy, hope to see more of him

Saw Foxcatcher.

Didn't appeal to me but I'm glad I saw it.

Slow burn sort of movie with a great cast.

Foxcatcher looked like a slow movie, Birdman just looked confusing

I finally watched Gone Girl the other day, interesting ;)

On a sidenote, I see a new series of Justified has commenced in the US

A couple of action movies coming up look interesting such as John Wick and Taken 3.

Kids will enjoy Big Hero 6

Hector & The Search For Happiness also looks interesting

Went along today and saw MrTurner, about the famous English painter very good movie if your into Art and the people that painted those paintings just before the black and white camera came into play..
