Selling privately: Using an auctioneer?

Hi all, I am selling a Sydney apartment privately and am wondering if I can sell via auction by commissioning an auctioneer. Does anyone know if this is possible? or is this only possible via an agent?

It's certainly possible. No need for an agent. You'd have to do the Open for Inspections or private viewings yourself.

One of my Buyers Agents is a licensed auctioneer. Bear in mind you are up for auctioneer's fees whether it sells on auction day or not.

Not sure if you have sold already or not. We use Under The Hammer. They don't charge if you sell prior to Auction.

Yes you can utilise an independent auctioneer as well as running a private campaign. They ensure that the requirements for an auction are met.
