Should we be worried

You're right - I missed this when I first read the story

The report shows that almost a third of ASX-listed companies attracted "going concern" warnings from independent auditors and that most of the warnings were concentrated in the bottom 500 listed companies.

A survey of audit reports showing nearly a third of ASX-listed companies in 2013 have been classified as at risk of "financial catastrophe" should send alarm bells ringing.

What do you think? should we be concerned??

It's always the obvious visible consequences, but the invisible statistics that come with these companies are a real worry..

The quality of most of the ASX's listed companies earnings leaves a lot to be desired.

Too much shonkiness especially in the junior mining and exploration sector who are intent on mining the market rather than finding resources.

ASIC is understaffed and does little to improve the situation.
