Slope backward or forward from the street ?

Hi all,

Is there any way to see if the block of land is slope forward or backward ?( falling away from street or towad street)?

Would it says on the contract of sale ? or is there any software ?

from naked eyes the block it is hard to tell if the block is falling backward or backward or flat....:confused::confused:

any one know ?

really appreciate any comment in advance.

You will have to track down a topographic/contour map. Give the planning department at the local council a call and they should be able to direct you where to find the information.

One clue I've found when using google streetview, is to look at the curb & guttering in the street outside the property. Do you see any white stormwater pipe outlets? (indicating that stormwater runs off the roof and into the street). They will be missing on a block that falls steeply away from the road.

No, but you might get a clue from the position of any stormwater easements on the certificate of title and the sewerage and drainage diagram in the contract.

+1 for Google Street view.
Circle around the block and look for the white stormwater outlets.

I also use the pictures from the property advertisement with google satellite view to plot it out.

If the rear of the land is higher than the street it's a slope up.

If there's a dog crawling around it's a slow pup.
