SMSF Loans - Personal Guarantees

So.... I have a question...

Does a personal guarantee limit my serviceability as an individual? or are there any other consequences I should be aware of?

And with SGB - If I have enough cash in the SMSF - do I not need a guarantee (e.g. this may be secured by a no-recourse loan from me)?

Hiya Syd

Most lenders will regard ur guarantee as a contingent liability and yes in most cases it will affect your serviceability for standard borrowings.

This is partially why the STG SMSF loan is a bit tougher than others on serviceability
