Software upgrade new features

Just wondering whether there are any new bells and whistles in the new software upgrade and whether you will incorporate any of them?

Mike, since v2.3.0 was essentially a maintenance release, there were no new features of note.

As for email digests and such - I just found out that they WILL be in v3.0 !!

Some key features coming in v3.0 (due within the next couple of months)

• User rating - Karma
• User ranking
• Threaded and hybrid views (we only have "flat views" at the moment)
• Quick reply box
• WYSIWYG Editor for major text input fields (IE 5.5+Only)
• Multiple attachments
• Attachment thumbnails
• Digests: new posts/threads in selected forums daily/weekly/monthly
• Newsletter / mailling integration
• Mass download of PMs in CSV, TXT, or XML format
• Search only in subscribed forums (useful for those people who don't want to read absolutely everything - just topics they are interested in)
• User Pictures - user can upload a personal picture. This picture is shown in the profile of the user
• Pop-up auto-refreshing buddylist with ICQ-style alerts when new buddies come online.
• Option to enable / disable daylight savings time (about time too !!)

It looks like some good stuff in the pipeline- looking forward to it.

I will warn you up front though... I won't be upgrading to v3.0 as soon as it is released... I will be waiting for a while and testing it out on our test server until I am convinced it is stable enough to upgrade us.
