Stamp Duty Calculator/Spreadsheet

From: Joanna K

I hope someone can help...

I'm absolutely hopeless with Excel...I tried to create a stamp duty calculator/spreadsheet in excel this afternoon and it turned in to a complete disaster, not to mention a waste of time.

Does anyone have one they've designed and willing to post up?

Or maybe, if I post up the parametres, someone could design one??

I just want to be able to enter in the purchase price, and voila...stamp duty is calculated.

Would be appreciated!

Thankyou in advance.

Kind regards

Joanna,
This is a formula for WA stamp duty. This will give you a starting point. Just change to suit the state.

=IF(C4<=80000,C4*0.0195,IF(C4<=100000,1560+((C4-80000)*0.0285),IF(C4<=250000,2130+((C4-100000)*0.037),IF(C4<=500000,7680+((C4-250000)*0.0455),19055+((C4-500000)*0.0485)))))

This is a fabbo and very comprehensive calculator. Does anyone know of any similar ones on the web that let you link several properties?

Regards David.
