Not true. There are no exemptions for pensioners in the Duties Act NSW.

A few years back there was scheme that KK introduced. It allowed a concession for older persons (incl pensioners) to scale back their home size (downsize) and get a concession.

Is your generation still not satisfied with all it has leached and will leach from younger generations.

Of course the standard first home exemption or even a grant may apply to a elderly person acquiring a first home....We see a bit of this as we deal with retirees and super and aged care. And some acquire their first home very late in life. It should never be assumed that a older person has always owned a home.
