I propose to switch my mortgage from Aussie (6.74%) to Westpac (6.22%). Query - is there stamp duty on the refinance. The property, and me, are in NSW.

Tony,

I think it is no stamp duties involved.

They (new lender) will take over from where you stoped and it would it. I think. But watch out for extra payments, which may occur if you are still in contract with previous lender. Breaking out fees they call’m?

Would better if you’ll check with Rolf or other finance people.
