Hi Macca

A client of mine recently used an option to delay the buyer having to pay Stamp Duty and and the Vendor having to pay CGT.

Hi Macca,

You can pay your stamp duty within 3 months of settlement.

Yuchun, does it make any difference to your
lender when you pay stamp duty?
A friend took the 3 months to pay but he did not borrow to buy.
Cheers Shelly

Hi Shelly,

Stamp duty is paid to the Office of State Revenue (OSR) of your state. Your lender doesn't get involved at all.

Hope this helps.
