I have found an unit i am keen on buying however the strata is $600.00 pq. As i am new to investing, i would like some feeback as to what is considered to be an cheap/reasonable and expensive strata levy? The unit im keen on is within an small complex with no features like pool gym etc.

Hard to say?, how old is the building?

If its an older buidling there may be more repairs, also funds going into the sinking fund?

Did you get a strata report?

yeah it's a tough one. An IP that I'm currently purchasing has relatively high BC fees ($1900 p.a). However, the complex comes with some good facilities - pool/spa/bbq area, ect so it commands a higher rent (which offsets some of the BC fees).
