Subdivide a large house - VIC???

Hi,

I know "semi" or semi-detachable are quite popular in Sydney.
Just thinking, if I have a large house: 5br + study + 2 living areas, on 750m of land, is it feasible to subdivide it on 2 units?
The house already has 2 bathrooms, and adding the second kitchen in the second living area looks relatively easy.

Looking at the house layout it all looks possible… What do you guys think?

Would I also need to subdivide land for 2 separate titles or is it optional? I will certainly need separate gas, water and electric meters

Reckon your first stop should be at your local council to see what requirements you have to comply with, or even if division is allowed.

what would the costs be to make a 5 bedroom home into a 3 bedroom unit & 2 bedroom unit?
