subfloor movement, cracks in walls - restumper recommendations coburg, VIC

Hi All,

The bank valuation report for our IP (soon to be PPOR) indicated several areas of cracking of the internal wall linings, providing evidence of subfloor movement.

..and recommends a registered bulding/construction expert asses it prior to advancing funds.

I had a building inspection performed prior to purchase in 2010 identifying new concrete stumps. I suspect the stumping may need reviewing (even though they were identified as 'new') - can anyone recommend someone out coburg way?

update: got 2 quotes:

1. 16 stumps down the middle of the house - 5.5K
2. Do nothing - 0K!

The 2nd quote was a local guy who had restumped other properties in my street, used his electronic gear (I wasn't there at the time but my wife was) and offered that 4 cm out (biggest drop) was within reasonable limits. There appears little reason to question his motivations to talk himself out of a local job!

Incredible that it can go from 5K to 0K but I suspect the truth may be somewhere in between. will seek a 3rd and 4th opinion I think!
