It would be good if we could tag people (like Facebook) so that person would get a private message stating that you have tagged them in a forum/thread.

Perhaps you already can.......

If you can, can you teach me how to tag.

Not yet, but next version will have this functionality. Just waiting on the new software to be released (currently in Alpha, about to enter Beta testing, final release should be ready in a couple of months).
