Talk about underquoting

meh nothing new. everyone knows that biggin scott are the worst serial underquoters in the market. Particularly in Richmond where they are ubiquitous.

Hocking Stuart are another one, many of their quotes are a joke. This makes it unfair to those agents who do do the right thing, because some people automatically dismiss some auctions if the quote is around their budget because they just assume the price will be much higher without doing any research. I know people should do their own homework, but some people do initially use the price quote as a guide as to whether or not they'll investigate further.

Dazz and Ianvestor, it's called the principle of Consumer Protection. If it didn't exist then you couldn't get your money back if some idiot at Telstra lied to you about your phone plan/mobile phone. People need guidance because there are a lot of stupid people out there with a lot of money

The question is how did these stupid people get the money in the 1st place?

If you're prepared to buy it for $520k you could try & make them an offer. i believe that if they reject an offer within the quoted range the agent is required to amend it.

Just as typing a post for some people to read and then deleting it isn't useful for future people reading this thread...neither is posting links that will no longer be active after a short while. ;)
