Tax implications for bringing money from UK to Australia.

Thinking of using one of the Forex companies to transfer; Oz forex, currency fair, etc etc.
Any thoughts and suggestions?

I have already received the funds and am now looking to transfer. Am I to late then? What are my options?
Thinking the Aussie dollar might get a little weaker so just waiting for a bit........

All financial transactions are captured by AUSTRAC - except perhaps the underground banking systems such as hawala and Feichien.

Illegal money/funds transfers can be seized by the AFP and held as suspected proceeds of crime with little the accused can do except self incriminate. The level of global vigilance over covert funds movements is very high at present.
