Tiling Quote for Bathroom in Brisbane

Hi guys,

I am looking at doing a bathroom reno in Brisbane

The size of the bathroom is 12 sqm and the quote for tiling is $1300

This includes the shower area which is 4 sqm - quite big. I am supplying the tiles

Basically I am modernising the bathroom.

This is cheap?

Waterproofing would be $500 - $600

Tiling the shower part might little more expensive than the remaining 8sqm of the flooring

It works out to be $58 pq
+ tiles what ever they cost

Make sure who ever you get, you tell them, if the fall of the shower isn't correct they will have to come back and rectify, nothing worse than pooled water after a shower.

That is a fair price.

I think your waterproofing estimate is a little high unless of course its upstairs.

Does the tiler have to build a hob for the shower tray?

Do they have to rip up tiles or other flooring? Or tiling over tiles?

Feature, listello, rectified edge, porcelain tiles?

Around a bath?

Hi

There will be no hob. It will be like the new school bathrooms you see.

The tiler will rip up the tiles and what ever else is required

No bath.

I will make sure the fall is done property

The wall tiles will be sprayed by one of the tile glazers. I am just the flooring. I am trying to do everything for under $3000 - Tiles vanity, spraying wall shower screen - labour for tiler and plumber. I am also replacing the, towel rack, toilet seat and cistern and shower head and all that.

The floor tiles are $hit and I reckon replacing them is going to be the best way to proceed.

I am looking at Ceramic or porcelain Tiles. Just cheapo ones from Bunnings or one of the warehouses.

If the tiler is ripping tiles up, waterproofing and tiling - that's a pretty fair price.

Now just make sure he does good work.

That seems cheap to me, but I guess its only the floor.

Pics and feedback on workmanship would be good.

Am looking at refurbing a bathroom soon.

I don't know what area it is in but i wouldn't go cheap on the tiles. Spend a bit extra and get a really good result - better reval?

After all your paying someone to do it and they gave you a really cheap quote

What's an extra $500 - $800 to get an awesome result compared to just average?
