have found a few flaws in portableapps.
when in thunderbird, if you click on a link within an email, the local browser is opened, not the portableapps firefox version.
Stuck it in a vista puter last night and there's was a security problem with the drive not being accepted or something. I didn't have time to sort it out, so p.apps was totally unusable.
Seems portableapps is a collection of hacks in some respects. the list of bugs for each of the progs installed is long.
This has turned me off adopting it as a permanent solution.
