Trusts to protect real estate in case of divorce

im only young but working in the FIFO game for the last three years i have heard many middle aged mans life story. i could write a book on some of the stories i have heard about there wife screwing them over. BE VERY CAREFUL. Im not being negative but worry is now instilled in me for how i will deal with the situation when it comes along. i dont agree with the system at all. why are the women favoured?

i have a friend who was with a chick for 2 years they where de facto. He bought a house paid for everything and looked after her then they break up and now she sends him a letter from a lawyer saying she got nothing out of it and wants money. WTF how does that work.

What a complete load of crap. Seriously you should stop listening to all these stories you hear because they are absolutely full of it.

Anyone can send a letter.

And there are also a lot of stories where the bloke has screwed the wife. It works both ways.

these stories do the rounds, many intelligent people believe the laws are different for men and woman. 'Old husband tales'

I sometimes wonder why, when I hear/read about cases like this why people who obviously have the money to afford it, don't just go to hookers if they want to skip out on their husband/wife.

What's the point of having someone on the side when the risks are so high if you can afford anonymous 'relations' pretty much any time you want?
Both of these ladies met Pratt in their "professional capacity" as escorts, I believe. I'm guessing that having a "regular" minimised his chances of exposure, as a well-known individual.

i guess its just the industry, seems to be a common re-occurence though.

And if you hung around a bunch of middle aged divorcee women, I wonder what stories you would hear?

The research is pretty clear, despite the current family laws, its still mostly women that get screwed financially post separation.

So I hear this urban myth. Man has Asian girlfriend called Mandy. Pays her weekly by cheque from the business account for her spending money. Tells her to go down the bank and tell them over the counter it's wages and they'll clear it immediately.

Shacking up for several years- no kids - then splitsville. She goes him property but he resists- she was not my girlfriend but live in housekeeper. Multiple bank tellers back his story up.:D
