Useless pre-inspection report

I had a pre-inspection report done and it missed a major issue that will cost thousands to repair. Despite pointing out to the inspector my concerns regarding this area of the IP on the day he visited, he said it was all fine. I'm in Victoria. Any suggestions on what to do?
This will delay us getting tenants, i.e loss of income, while we get a builder to do repair work.

A colleague at my work ran into a similar problem, and the company who performed the inspection went above and beyond to ensure he didn't get lawyers involved.

In the end, they agreed to rip out his kitchen and replace it at no cost to him.

Edit: I hope it turns out as well for you as it did for the guy I know.
