Hi,

I'm looking at my first IP in Melbourne, a 2 bedroom apartment in Glen Iris. Can someone please suggest where I can go to find out what equivalent sales have been in the area of recent times? I realise (hope?) the market is probably coming off a bit at the moment, so it would just be a rough guide.

Any help would be much appreciated.

seem to offer a reasonable service (for payment). However, the data they have is
not up-to-the-minute.

Would you be able to get this type of info
from the local authority?

Hi,

Do they have a Valuer General's office over there - if so they're worth a try. I know here in Perth we can get a listing for a suburb of a particular type of property such as houses or strata properties (can specify even more detail) etc and they will do a printout of properties as specified for a fee.
