It's Tuesday evening and I've just met with my 4th group of first new home buyer clients this week. They've all been prompted by the changes coming to the grant. If my experience is anything to go buy so far, I expect that there will be some impact on property values over the next 6 weeks. Combine this with todays rate cut...
So far none of them actually need the grant to purchase, it's just a nice bonus. My advice is that if they find the right property at the right price, they should buy. Otherwise I don't think there's any real reason to panic and make a bad purchase decision.
