The feeling and mood is good I feel.
I have very large group of local friends/acquaintances and they have never had a problem with their chosen job or an issue finding another should they feel like a change.
We have always been and will always be a very transient community due to the uni and the fact that we have tri defence base here. So there are always jobs being filled and people leaving their current job here when their partner gets a new posting etc.
We also seem to be little bit in a bubble here I think due to the transient nature. That is when there is a massive growth/downturn in the capital cities etc we aren't as hugely effected. Which means we are somewhat protected which is good but we often don't get the big booms either.
That is all just my opinion of course!
