Weatherboard homes Pros/Cons and valuation

Hi Friends,

I have been looking at few weatherboard homes recently. What are the pros and cons of buying a weatherboard home which is 30-35 years old.

Also on the price and valuation. Is the price lower than the double brick and brick veneer home? If yes, how much is the valuation lower than the brick homes.

Say if the brick homes are selling at an average of 530k in that suburb? How much should I put in an offer for a weatherboard home?
 
Interesting question & one I've been contemplating myself. The areas I'm looking at are 80-90% weatherboard, often much older than you're looking at. I've been thinking of trying to do some analysis myself on pricing trends but if there are exiting tools / rules of thumb that would be great!
