11 years old too young for an ipod touch? My brother-in-law gave his 4 year old son an ipod touch!
He play games on it and I was quite surprise at how fast he can pick up on how to play them, he even teachs his mom how to play some games.
I put some music videos on it for him as well and he watches them all day too.
But wait, if you think 4 years is too young, his 2 year old sister also likes the ipod touch and is always trying to play with it when he's not.
They're also not that fragile, get a rubber case for them and they're fairly sturdy. I've seen the 4 yr old drop it many times and its still working fine, not a single crack.
