3D printers and robots will be the end of many trades

This guy has 3d printed his own concrete castle. If that could be done with weatherproof insulation material with a boom pump it could see house get to lockup stage in little more than an afternoon!

When you then add rent etc to the cost of producing the furniture, you can see how hard it will be for Aus going forward.

Don't disagree. I'm in a position where I'm happy to pay a premium for things that will last (like our furniture), but unless I can find suitable workshops I'm kind of stymied by a lack of opportunity. I also dislike buying through Harvey Normans etc., and prefer to go to the source. This is especially because sometimes I (or my wife) like something, but want minor changes, and these chain stores have no flexibility or interest.
