What permission is required to shift kitchen

Does anyone know if council permission is required to move a kitchen to the laundry area right next door? The floor has been raised to the same height as the rest of the living area.

I moved a kitchen in one of my previous PPOR, council approval not needed. You will need to mindful of how close this will be to the nearest toilet. You must maintain an airlock between kitchen and toilet. Your builder will set you straight on this.

This is interesting. In our current house, the kitchen had already been moved and the toilet is fairly close to it. What is an 'air-lock' to be exact??

I have been told that there has to be 2 doors between the kitchen and the toilet. Guess you could call that "an Airlock"

or that the door must not open directly towards/into the kitchen ...
