The bond had been strong, but Bill and Jim Karras' once brotherly love definitely went no deeper than that.

Despite the embrace and the blond wigs, their depiction as unmarried ''domestic partners'' living as a couple was a lie.

As a court heard, it was a sham union of convenience to dupe Victoria's State Revenue Office of a $7000 first home owners grant and also to avoid tax.
 
Kudos to them, it's hard to write commedy that well. :rolleyes:

I really can't believe how utterly stupid some people can be when trying to commit a crime. When submitting the documents these guys should have paused for a moment and thought, "Will these fraudulent documents and photos really pass the muster?"

It's dumb enough that they'd commit a criminal act over $7000 and a bit of stamp duty, but increadibly stupid to think that they wouldn't get caught given how badly their implementation of the criminal act was.
