$1800 still alot of money in my books, but in this area they are prone to cyclones.
A lot of Insurers don't want business above the 26th parallel, essentially cyclone areas. To be honest, I can understand why they are hesitant, the losses can be enormous. So if they take on risk in those areas they need to match the premium to the risk, or if they really don't want it be happy to price themselves out of it.
Our prices in the area are pretty reasonable at the moment although they are dearer than further south, however I sense there will be substantial changes before too long that are outside of our control.
