Hi All, I'm looking for my first home with 2 bedrooms and have a budget capped at $450K. Any suggestions on which suburbs to look at? Thanks.

You can buy something in every corner of Australia with a $450k budget.

Question is, where have YOU researched?

Why specifically a home with 2 bedrooms?

2 bedders would suits me best as I'm just looking for a home to live in it and maybe rent the other room to help pay the bills.

I'm based in Sydney, so I have been looking for units around Parramatta. I work in the city, so 45mins train ride is not too bad. But prices are a bit high over there (over 500k for 2 bedders).

Just wanted to hear what everyone's thoughts are, and find out if it is actually feasible to find 2 bedroom units with 450K budget around Sydney (< 1hr train ride from the city).

Definitely. Some cheap town houses around the Minto area with several bedrooms. Yes it is a commute though.
I've heard a few investing there as the yield is a little better, which usually means it's not too overpriced. As always you have to get an idea of value for yourself (go to open houses for 2 months every weekend)

Should be able to pick up a modern 2 bedda in Lake Mba, Bellfield, Punchbowel or Wally Park & still have change. All on the rail line to the city.

Check out Wentworthville, Pendle Hill, Toongabbie and Girraween for units < $450K.

Less than an hour to the city.

Type in www.domain.com.au if you like green or www.realestate.com.au if you like red.
These two are really wonderful sites where you can specify what you want and they will show you!

Seriously.... you are looking for a HOME. It is a personal choice. There is no really right or wrong answer. At least provide more info about your needs then someone might be able to give more useful answer.

It could have been some of the less frequented sites.

You can even get a 3 bedder unit for that price and rent the two rooms to pay the bills :)

Or 2 bedders in north parra, which is better than Parra:
