Who is responsible for the nature strip?

Hi,

Just wondering, in a block of 5 units, who is responsible for mowing the nature strip?

Is it the front unit?

Or every unit equally?

Is there some sort of legislation or council rules?

Hi Paul

The Owner's Corporation, that is, all owners, are responsible for maintaining the nature strip.

The Council would consider this to be part of the 'common property'

Mowing nature strips would usually add only about another $5 - $10 to the regular lawn maintenance costs. Not worth squabbling over!
