Whom to contact for a sub-dividable block?

I am looking at a sub-dividable, corner block in Adelaide. I had done measurements using RP Data and have confirmed with the council that the block is sub-dividable. How can I confirm, if it can be sub-divided without knocking the existing house down. Who should i contact? Surveyor? Architect or a Town Planner?

Any good Town planners in Adelaide?
