Wollongong area

Hi Guys,

Just interested in finding some info about the northern suburbs of Wollongong - particularly Corrimal, Russel Vale, Woonona, Bulli, Thirroul, Austinmer. I understand that some of these suburbs have high housing commission areas but I can't seem to find locations.

It would be appreciated if anyone could give me any info regarding the best areas to buy as a PPOR to raise a family. Ideally, I don't want to purchase in the middle of a housing commission estate.

In the areas you mentioned, there is little H/C. The closest would be the Estate at Bellambi Point, which is quite small really compared to similar areas in Sydney. We used to live in the private sector at Bellambi and never had any problems.

In fact i used to love Bellambi, awesome beach!

Never had a problem, quite pretty when we were there
