Would you buy a house along Wynnum Rd?

Saw this house for sale (didn't notice the big "SOLD" writing  ). This exactly what i'm looking for: close to work, got potential for improvement, within my budget.

There is a catch - it's main road and close to Gateway, so there is congested traffic in peak hours. Now that gateway/wynnum rd crossing is planned for upgrade within next few years which should ease it a little bit.
This is fine with me, i like a bit of noise in the night plus it gives me excellent exposure for home business.

My main concern - would this property sell/rent easy later on?

Hi Strannick

This used to be one of my faves when i was still living in Sydney.

You could gather data thats showed that busy road properties would grow at a similar rate to the quiet street cousins, but obviously on a lower base, and would always be a lower cost proposition.

The main thing I reckon is the rental. unless the rent is discounted a lot, then you will have issues attracting tennants.

Even Parramatta Rd in Sydney has rental homes that have tennants ........... but I doubt they are paying huge rents.
