Would you buy in the same street?

As the title says, Would you buy a property in the same street that you have another investment property?

We have the opportunity to buy across the road from an IP that we have currently. Just nervous with the whole all your eggs in one basket theory.

That said the IP that we currently have is achieving a great return and we have no probs with it.

Just wanted peoples thoughts.

I bought 2 across the road from each other on the same day. They were both great deals, so made sense to me.

So long as the numbers work I'd do it again.
 
I bought my second investment property a couple of doors down from the first, on the same side.

Not quite as good as the first, but has been mostly positively geared, with some capital appreciation.
 
We buy all of ours with 2 towns.
Never worry about all the eggs being in same basket. People will always need accommodation.
One street has 5 rental properties in a row.

If the price is good....go for it.
 
Jeez, if I had the chance (and the cash) I'd be buying the properties right next to my current one and bulldoze the lot after council approval and annoy everyone else on the street, by building as much as I could on it! :p
