Dear Michael,

I think you have misunderstood what propertyvalue is about.

It is a property valuation service where you can get a cheap estimation of a properties value and the previous selling price on the property if it has been sold in the last 12 years (Or basically from about 1990).

Yes. That's right good old Victoria. To the best of my knowledge VIC is the only state in Australia that does not make public information the prices of individual properties, only streets.

There are no other easy ways to get this information as they all originate from the same basic source although different companies differently analyse and process this information.

You can however still get a estimated price on the property but just no free last sales dates.

About Victorian Reports

Please note that the Victorian Individual Property Reports are different to the other states.

What does the Individual Property Report for Victoria include?
The Individual Property Report for Victoria includes an estimate of the property's current value, median house and unit prices for the area, estimated values for up to 10 properties based on recent sales, and estimated values based on past sales for up to 10 surrounding properties. In addition, we have included a map detailing local amenities, and an indication of past and future capital growth for the property in question. The estimates provided are based on information from the Victorian Valuer General's Office, while all address details are supplied by PropertyValue.

Why are the Victorian reports different to other states?
Due to contractual restrictions with the Victorian Valuer General's Office, the actual sale date and price can not be revealed. Therefore, PropertyValue provides its own addresses, and property estimates in place of the actual sales values.
