What are some of the "exaggerated stories" you've heard from investors/magazines??

So I really need a suga momma. Probably fastest road to wealth and financial independence for me.

Ok. So now the ideal woman for you must not only stay at home to take care of your every need, but must also be independently wealthy.

Good luck.

I am only kidding.

I dont think such an ideal woman exists in 2014 in western or eastern societies.

Finding a woman with just the former criteria is near impossible and having both criteria will probably happen when pigs can fly.

More realistically, I should be aiming to find a woman who will let me take care of her every need and I can also sort out independently financially sufficient on my side.

Women like that do exist, I know some here in Spain. Well-off and traditional-minded. But they usually marry people from their own social circles or above.

They must be like a diamond in the Sahara or searching for an ear-ring at the bottom of the Pacific ocean.

I have never met nor heard of such a woman.

So clearly, there must be some very lucky Spanish men out there.

How times change. The ideal woman used to have a father who owned a pub. Obviously, he has since sold the pub to ALH and invested wisely.

We made a $40k gain on a reno in six weeks. We put new handles on the cupboard doors, painted the tiles and put new taps on. The real estate agent who sold us the place estimated it is worth $40k more now and he is willing to list it.

How much of that $40K gain would you lose in capital gains tax, agent fees?

It looks to me as if that's a gain on paper. I'm not sure if that gain included reno expenses on paper. On the face of it there's not much. But that $40k would have been able to be used for further equity drawings.

It wouldn't be worth it selling straight off. As you point out transaction expenses would be high. And any profit on the top of that taxed at almost 50% for somebody on the top tax rate.

It is an "exaggerated story" Malaga heard/read, I reckon. Not something Malaga did. Of course buying and selling costs will eat away most of any gain in this story.

Actually, I think this gets back to your employee situation.

With employees and with partners, you need to find somebody who you respect and get along well with. Except a partner is not somebody who fills a need in your life- a partner is somebody that you get along well with, somebody that you respect and want to share your life with.

Once you can learn to respect your employees, you will be able to respect women better- and this could lead to a much better relationship.

IMO, the ideal partner is somebody that you share with, and respect. Somebody who is a part of your life.

When you sell it for the $40k extra that the r/e says. Until then....

I dunno China, perhaps you've heard of that negative gearing thing? That would add a few hundred thousand to the cash-flow each year.

Assuming one million in pre-tax wages, which means approx 510k per year after tax - how does one build a $30,000,000 portfolio in a few short years?

Assuming 80% LVR, you still need 6 mil in cash?

The loss of the key employee in my micro business has given me a good taste of a fraction of what a divorce must feel like.

You don't have to convince me mate, try telling them that! :) There are many ways people use financial products available for servicing models to purchase more than they otherwise can normally also. Like that Rixter guy. You may have heard of him

I remember your 'can't do' attitude from other threads, that's a bad thing (for you) I urge you to look into mindset and accomplishing goals, It might help you more than you think!

Still cannot buy 30mil of property earning only 1 mil pre tax a year.
