Advertising in r/e - consider this.

And one I saw the other day. A private seller standing on the footpath outside a block of units & handing out brochures for her private sale a few doors away from the agent's Open for Inspection. She was diverting lots of Agent generated foot traffic into her unit as well. Smart lady............with an overpriced unit as it turned out :(

I have used a similar tactic.

I saw a unit in the same block as mine had an open inspection for rent, advertised on re.com.au. I set up some 'open for rent' a-frame signs out the front at the same time. I got six times the numbers looking as a newspaper ad. Found a great tenant. (and for no cost at all)
