How do you find out who owns a property?

There's this beautiful old burnt out home with a lot of land around it I've had my eye on for around 7 years now. Not a thing has ever been done to it except perhaps the over grown grass slashed every now again.

So as the title states, how would I find out who owns this property?

You can also call the local council. Pose as their neighbours if need be, they will give you their contact details.
