Renting out room by room to max. return

I was sort of serious when I posted this.

I have thought of it a lot since then.
When Rob and I return in a couple of years to live, we will have no where to live.
All of our equity and investing is in Canada.Living with family is NOT an option.
Some ideas I have had:
1. rent a cheap unit
2. rent a shared accommodation house
3.rent a regular sized house ...rent out bedrooms
4. buy a regular sized house...rent out bedrooms

5.Buy a house like this (pic in above post)and rent out the rooms.

I think this house(pic shown in above post) is impressive.I'm also from a small town, and we just don't see houses like this on a regular basis.
Since there a lot of knowledgable people here, I'd like some help.
If Rob and I were to buy a house and live in it and rent out the extra rooms.
What type of "room rental" would appeal to the average tenant?
The room would include all utilities, either furnished or unfurnished, be close to transport.Rent would be the same for either property.
Realistically, what would a tenant pay to rent a room in that house?(I was thinking $150 week)

I'd never own a house that size for just the two us to live.I also think it would be quite interesting to have people around.

PS.Sorry if I am hijacking this thread. Moderators can move it , if they think it would be more appropriate.
