    Driving a wedding car for mu-la? :p)

That doesn't sound so tough!! I spent last night trying to convince one of my friends to be a sub-contractor driver for me...he'd look better in a suit than me :D He wasn't terribly interested, but I haven't given up yet :p

:D:D But I bet it's comfortable to sit in, in the car port!

    Driving a wedding car for mu-la? :p)

Hmm, that's pretty much the same sign my boyfriend just gave me via text. Right before reminding me that I struggle to find time for him some weekends, let alone chauffeuring around brides every other Saturday. OK, next idea, could one use a personal loan to purchase time? By the hour perhaps?

    Driving a wedding car for mu-la? :p)

Hi folks, random post coming up! Yes, I'm opening myself up to heckling and guffaws, but I've got a thick skin, so decided I may as well throw it out there :D So, my poor old Saab may have finally died (final time of death TBA, once the mechanic gets his hands on it on Monday). It's not great...

Melbourne Impromptu Meetup - Sep 25th Mitcham

Hi folks, just a quick note to say thanks for the chat on Thursday night. It was great to meet the seasoned professionals and some of the newer starters alike (me, being the newest!!). Looking forward to the next catch-up.

Melbourne Impromptu Meetup - Sep 25th Mitcham

I'd love to gate crash this meeting. I've got very similar plans for Melbourne so would love to throw some ideas around with some locals. I've been in Melbourne for 18 months or so, but I'm still coming to grips with all the outer-lying areas!

Fibro renovation versus new build duplex

Well, the offer of $260K for both was rejected. The buyer is holding firm at $269K but offered to delay the sale until August to allow my parents to take advantage of the $10K grant. It will be interesting to see if they do sell for the full asking price in the next month or two! Thanks again...

Fibro renovation versus new build duplex

Trust me sanj, absolutely no offence taken. I advised them to put in an offer of $230K each...if the developer is as keen to offload them as the agent told me, what's the harm was my thinking. At least it would give plenty of room to move and meet in the middle. Unfortunately, my mum being my...

Fibro renovation versus new build duplex

Thanks Andrew, these are all really valid points and I'll keep researching to see if it changes the picture at all. My mum was worried about underpaying the developer (she'd give you the shirt off her own back if you told her you were cold!), but I've tried to reassure her they aren't going to...

Fibro renovation versus new build duplex

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. After hearing your thoughts and thinking about the leap it's taking for my parents to make this first purchase, I think I was perhaps being a little bit aggressive finding them an old house that may have asbestos issues! It's easy for me to talk...

Fibro renovation versus new build duplex

Hi everyone, I was hoping for a bit of advice about an investment property for my parents. They are looking to use the equity in their POR to invest in a property to try and get in a better position for their retirement in the next 5-10 years (they're 60 and 64 and really can't afford to...
