Damn you QBE!! What a ridiculous reason for declining our loan!!!

I'm roughly in a similar situation at the moment Westpac refusing to do a low-doc loan without BAS statements Already had a copule of IP with them (with decent equity), so thought it shouldn't be that hard, but the broker says he simply can't do anything without BAS. It might be rare for...

    Epping / Truganina - VIC

Thanx for the heads-up, yes the demand is ever-increasing in the west. A new estate - opened for release yesterday and sold-out within 3 hrs (24 blocks), didn't even get a chance to look at them. Damn these big builders gouging up all the land, and selling as expensive packages.

    Epping / Truganina - VIC

Whilst I agree to that statement, unfortunately it's buy now or pay even more in July scenario for me (and for the rest of FHB in Melbourne ). And as mentioned, it could become the permanent PPOR ,so CG won't matter that much, but my question still stands which of these areas would anyone here...

    Council's served me Court notice

That sounds like a good idea , but since the matter's before a Magistrates' Court I might have to be present at the hearing, if I do defend myself .. which I really don't want to. I guess I could pay the charges for now, and then write that letter to the Council and see if they follow-up...

    Council's served me Court notice

Yeah now I realize that I should have acted first, rather than it coming down to this. Looks like I'll bite the bullet and pay 'em and avoid a hearing / Credit Rating

    Council's served me Court notice

Yeah you have a valid point, and the blame could fall on me I intend to be on top of these from now on, silly that I 'assumed' I had paid the rates already, turns out not for this one, but the 2nd IP. Still learning ... that it's hard to manage multiple IPs ... I guess

    Council's served me Court notice

The notice mentions that If I do not pay within 21 days from the date of being served, my Credit Rating may be affected, but I'll get it checked up in any case

    Council's served me Court notice

Have owned the IP for almost 2 years now, first year rates (07-08) were paid on time ,as the invoice was sent to my current residential address. For 08-09 I never received an invoice from the Council, turns out they have been sending it to the IP address ! I called the Council last week to...
