Disturbance with Driveway parking in Complex

WOW. Just wow. I'm slightly bewildered, but more so blatantly surprised at what's just happened. I woke up this morning to leave to work to find a letter on my car from Unit 1 blatantly stating not to park outside there Garage. Combining this with last nights Unit 2's comments I'm...

Disturbance with Driveway parking in Complex

Thanks for the reply. I don't quite understand what you mean in that paragraph? It's also not possible to park on the ramp as it actually concaves into a single driveway.

Disturbance with Driveway parking in Complex

Hi, In my PPOR I'm experiencing a slight problem regarding parking. If people request, I can put up real pictures. Anywhoo, imagine a long driveway for 4 garages. However, it's too thin, so only very small cars can actually turn into there respective garage (design problem). However...

    Working is for Suckers???

I like the 'catch phrase' but interpret it different. Working for me funds what I like. I happen to like Investing (additional to Poker/Gym/Cars!). When the day comes that I'm running my own Business' and Properties (as opposed to a 9-5 for someone else) - nothing will change. I'll still be...

    Computer security, antivirus and firewalls

Hi Winston, I work in IT Security. For a general home user with multiple PC's at home with a Broadband connection, I recommend each PC running Norton 360. It's simple, and unless the previous Generation of Norton 2003-2006 products, it's actually very fast and does a perfect job sitting in...

    4 Corners Monday (ABC) 31-3-08 - "Debtland"

It's a sad state of affairs isn't it. I can "sort of" relate to the story, but in a different perspective. I have a $1000 credit card for bills and that's it. When I recently moved into my first PPOR (for 6 months for FHOG, it was/is IP) maxed it out with move in expenses. Additionally...

Didn't recieve Rates Bills for 10 months

Same, I've just added it to my Excel Budget sheet. It now lists all yearly expenses grouped monthly so I can have an extended budget forecast. I don't mind learning he hard way!

Didn't recieve Rates Bills for 10 months

I'm not too annoyed about. Best way to learn is the hard way I suppose. Being a first IP and PPOR, I had no idea who I had to inform.

Didn't recieve Rates Bills for 10 months

Hi All, Just hoping for some comments on the situation I've found myself in. Purchased my First IP end in September last year. Been rented since then and last week I moved in. Activated Electricity etc, and also remembered Rates which I question myself on and why I haven't received them...

    New Door Locks for PPOR

The place I bought used to be IP but to satisfy FHOG I need to move into it. Am I able to claim a deductions on changing the locks on the main doors and adding deadlocks? I'm expecting to returning it back to an IP in 12-18 months. Thanks, Matt

    Re-Polishing Timber Floors

Is it worth the effort of sanding back/repolishing solid timber floors when the property is empty? I'm not sure it's something I should considering doing. I heard it's relatively expensive? From an IP/Maintenance/Rental point of view, is it worth doing? Am I right in assuming because...

    Going back to Uni

Thanks. The deduction plus my work reimbursement makes it alot more management. Just to clarify, the deduction is inclusive of all fee's? Textbooks, Pens, Paper, Parking etc?

    Going back to Uni

I'm an Aus Citizen. I thought because I have already completed a degree fully paid for by HECS (Bach. IT major Software Engineering) I wasn't entitled to HECS again. I'm scheduled to finish paying my HECS debt in the next few months. For some silly reason I was under the assumption all...

    Going back to Uni

I'm planning on going back and doing my MBA. (Master Business Admin). Something I'm been itching to do for a while now. I've been in IT for over 5 yeas, and I love it with no intention of moving but I want to bring the Business/Exec/Company side into it. Where is where I'm interested in the...

    HECS debt

Actually, it does. I'm a high income earner, and it dropped my serviceability from 490K to 370K. This is with monthly HECS repayments of nearly $600. I'm scheduled to finish my HECS any month now. Sadly, I'm looking at doing my MBA. So that's $10,000 a year I have to fund post-tax.
