It's a tough one mate, the builder used lost their license also. BSA are coming up with a solution at the moment to rectify, which I'm sure will be something I won't like but will have to agree on. Then I'll rent it out. Where is your land? Personally I don't see a change in the market coming...

I wouldn't go near there either, there is nothing. Went threw property for wealth. Waiting for an inspector to check my property out for the third time and then hopefully they will rectify.

I'm still indecisive. I can't rent or sell it ATM as I'm trying to get the qbcc to hopefully rectify the category 1 defect the builder left me, over 2 years I have been fighting to get it fixed, during that time I watched the market go to ****, so it's been an experience I hope no one else goes...

Worded that last msg wrong, thanks for the pick up! he quoted 1200 plus gst, other bloke quoted 2200. He was very professional, learnt a few things of him and gave me a rundown on how to prevent further issues which was good/saved me paying someone else. Uses the best products, not the cheaper...

Thank you Wylie! Wayne came out and found the termites that the other so called pest inspectors couldn't. I will he getting him to treat them, good bloke and loves talking the termite talk haha

Who do you use to insure your property's and why? Suncorp are well priced especially once you have three or more policies, just wondering what others recommend.

They are both great locations to live, but if your working in the city the traffic is crazy after 7, and with the further developments out Warner way it's only going to get worse. Strath pine train station is a savior if you don't mind trains. Beautiful house out eatons hill, putting woollies...

Was subject to build and pest, I negotiated 6 grand off what I had offered to compensate for the termite treatment, cutting holes and searching for termites and possibly replacing some if the frame, my gut feeling is they left to find something better but who knows, if were pine or I didn't have...

Yeh a low 400 house in chermside off a main road gets snapped up early . next door is wavell heights with houses in the low 400,000 towards Virginia which has a train station (massive bonus). Hamilton road is very busy. I bought recently in chermside so I highly recommend it after my research...

Might call some other companies and see what they reckon. I don't want to take a risk of doing my own inspection and missing something.

I had a build and pest inspection in a property I purchased. They found a termite mud track leading up the to the timber structure of the house but no termite visible. The house hasn't had a treatment and they reckon there still could be termites in the wall and recommend a full termite...

If your buying zillmere you can get some good priced houses, try keep closer to geebung or between the train line and gympie rd. plenty of shops/restaurants ect around there. If you can fork out a little more I'd personally try chermside, heaps going on there, awesome location. Near airport...
