    MISA from CBA

Sorry, more info. The guy who I spoke with from CBA brought it up because he looked at my file (after decussing something unrelated). He said that because I have a netbank saver and an IP home loan, I would be better off with a MISA account. He said "you can use the money in the MISA account...

    MISA from CBA

Hi, I was talking to someone from the CBA over the phone today, and he said I should look at getting a MISA account, as the money I put into it, I can offset the interest, but the tax will look at the full loan, not my MISA money. In other words, if I have a $200k loan and I put $80k in...

    Smoke alarms

This is the 4th year of having my IP. My property managers in the past never asked for this. Only when the company that managed my property was bought by another company did I start getting this request. Also, I think its rude having to fill out a form to say no. Maybe its just me? Also, if...

    Smoke alarms

Hi, I have received an email from my Property Manger asking to sign a form which states if I want them to test and check smoke alarms. It cost $75 a year but changing batteries costs $24. WTF? Is this lagit or just a scare tatic to get more money from landlords? Cheers :)

    Property prices always go up?

You make a great point. If you look at how much easier, or much quicker it was to pay off a loan back 20-30 years ago, you'd probably see that house prices tend to rise higher/quicker than wages do. But this would probably be due to factors such as overseas investment, and how the bank leands...

    Current Solicitor

Thanks for the reply Y-Man. 2) About right for an OTP where the contract was gone through propoerly etc - but with the service you seemingly got, sounds very expensive! Thats what we think as well. Especially since he is so hard to get a hold of.
