I'm thinking of changing property managers as I'm not happy with the service from the existing PM. Can someone tell me if they are obliged to transfer the details over to your new property manager, and if they don't, what can be done about it?

I'm thinking about buying a property with current tenants who are on a periodic lease with the vendor. If I purchase the property, at what stage can I inform them that I will be putting the rent up? Can I do it after I sign the contract, or will I have to give them 60 days notice at settlement...
