    Westpac's online Balance Sheet function

Its essentially an account aggregator. I think they may use the ewise service? I don't think there's anything sinister in it. From memory I think you'll need to use internet explorer as it uses activex. There's some password magic that goes on in your client end so that it only works...

    Help with digital TV signal!

The problem is, not all digital tuners are created equal. It sounds like you're in a marginal area (due to the fact that you have a masthead amp). I have a similar issue due to where we live and I have been through sever set top boxes to find one that pulls in the signal well enough. You can't...

Anybody else hate those new light globes?

Hmm, 18.93 (WA) if you want to split hairs, soon to be 20.84, then on to who knows where? What will i do? I'll find some technology I like and apply it to the rest of the halogens in the house (probably another 30 or so). I'm happy to leave these 4 in place if you'll send me a cheque for...

Anybody else hate those new light globes?

They now come in a dimmable version too (check ebay). I just switched out 4x50W halogens to these. So got rid of the trannies (and the loss associated with them). Thats 220W replaced with 36W. The dimmable 9W led GU10s were about $35 each, but i should never have to replace the globes again...

Finance woes - can anyone help?

Yeah, One option would be to distribute the cash to ourselves, then lend it back (with a loan agreement of some sort) but not sure how these things are viewed in terms of timeframes etc. I'd still rather use someone elses money ;)

Finance woes - can anyone help?

Thanks all, I'm investigating a few options currently with Rolfs help. Paying cash is my get out of jail card but Im mindful of using the cash buffers (as aposed to equity drawdown) as the cash may be needed for non investment purposes in the future. In this case the refinance and drawdown...

Finance woes - can anyone help?

Hi Guys, Thanks for responding. I maybe was a little unclear. I didn't revisit WBC via the broker so only one WBC Application, and one Bankwest one (this one via the broker). Rolf, I have sent you an email. Regards. Bruce

Finance woes - can anyone help?

Hi All, After some help from the experienced brokers if possible as we're running out of options. We have about 3.9M of property including our PPOR. We have total loans of 2M against them (owing about 1.6M) and we currently have about 300k in cash offsetting various loans. All current...

    Cleaning Grout

We have an IP with creamish colour tiles throughout the living areas and light coloured grout (wont make that mistake again). It got pretty grubby when a tenant had 2 dogs in there (can't complain as we were the tenant at the time ). Anyhow tried all sorts of things. I finally got...

    Bali holiday

As other have said, warnings have been in place for ages, and dont really get updated very often. Just be sensible about where you go and what you do. We do family holidays there so generally stay away from the 'nightlife'. Went twice last year, also booked for April and September this...

Discounts on home loan, any one got above .7

I have been on .7 previously but have been given the verbal on .9 for the life of the loans. Scarey thing was i added up all my loans which i hadn't done previously. Was a bit surprised to see the total a tad over 2M. Not fully drawn however. Called through the the morgage call center, got put...

    Recharging Standard Batteries

I have a re-zap battery charger that can do this, however sooner or later the batteries tend to leak (invariably trashing some expensive bit of kit). Gave up after a while. A better option is to get a decent batter charger (I have a Maha MH-C9000) and invest in decent rechargeables. The low...

    ANZ MoneyManager

Its been around for a while, Its just a bundling/branding of the Yodlee MoneyCenter. I tried it some time ago thinking they may have fixed some of the Australian 'Supported' banks. My various westpac loans/savings accounts either arent fully picked up, or are classified wrong making the whole...

    Pennytel

Ive been using them for maybe 6-12 months. Maybe the old glitch, but pretty good otherwise. They were one of the first to allow you to send your landline CND on a voip call which a gripe from my better half. One thing I would suggest is look at your calling patterns. While 8c a call looks...

Reasonable price for Solicitors cert. for Guarantor (WA)

All, Is there anyone can point me in the direction of a friendly solicitor who can provide the Solicitors certificate to satisfy WBC in our recent finance application. As I'm borrowing in my own name, but relying on joint incomes to service my wife has to act as guarantor. Not only does...

    WA Recovery for Investment Potential?

Minxdamanx, I have seen rent increases in Old Warnbro, I've just done a very long/lazy reno on a place we have in old Warnbro. It was ented for $175 12 months ago. I had a tenant 3 days after advertising last week at $280. I think much of this rent increase is not attributed to the reno, but...

Removing floor tiles - how to?

Definitely go down the Ozito Rotary Hammer (STS) drill path. Will save you heaps of time. I have used the same one numerous times now. It should only be about $60-$70 at bunnings. Spend a little extra (prob about $20-$30) and get an additional (wide) tile bit. Once you get the hang of it, you'll...

    Stacked Stones

I think the problem with stacked stone is that it's not supposed to look like its stuck on :D The trick is to get a good look on corners. You can get ones that interlock on corners, or have special corner peices, or you can mitre them. Either way, id suggest your quotes are due to the fact...
